As part of this course you will become aware of the possibilities and limitations of various methods of collecting and analysing data.
You will be introduced to key statistical concepts within exploratory data analysis and statistical inference.

When you complete this course you will be able to:
- use appropriate methods of sampling and describe suitable methods of collecting data
- generate appropriate graphs and descriptive statistics and use these to describe features of various datasets
- find probabilities from various probability distributions
- explore sampling distributions and use appropriate and valid tests of significance and confidence intervals for means and proportions
- undertake linear regression analysis, and interpret the results
